AR-15 upper value

I was given an AR-15 upper and would like to get an idea on the value if anyone happens to know. The only markings on it are LK, which I found is for FN/Kaiser. The barrel doesn't have anything stamped on it. Anyone have any ideas?

These are not all inclusive, but looking at known "brand" forging marks, the LK means an FN upper, forged by Kaiser Aluminum.

CAF Colt / Alcoa Forge
CH Colt / Harvey Aluminum (1st Colt Forgings)
CM Colt / Martin Marietta
DK Diemaco / Kaiser
FK, FS, BK, DK, EK, FK, AF, CW, AA, FS Bushmaster
LK FN / Kaiser
LM LAR / Martin Marietta (Army Spares Contract)
Splintered A - Olympic Arms

Check closely forward of the front sight, and also back towards the delta ring on the barrel. Sometimes the markings are faint after coating. IT should at least give caliber and twist, if not a 2-digit manufacturer.

Not much these days as this is the salad days for AR15. I don't know anyone who would want an AR that has a carry handle upper.

If you are looking to sell it...expect to get a low price. If there is a threat of a ban, than you can expect a higher price. I see a charge handle, but not sure if BCG is included into that upper.

I'd say $400 if you are lucky.

The front site appears to me to have some kind of markings on it also.

these days ar's are in the dirt for prices... you can get new uppers from psa for low as 260 ish another 80$ for a BCG... makers are laying people left an right off.. now if this was late 2019 different ball game...
you will see this coming fall take swift nose dive in cost an sales of ar and ammo .. the usual is happening, they wait till the last min then run around screaming the sky is falling, instead of now buying things at a lower price

No markings on the top of the barrel?

What is the contour?

Unfortunately, no markings on top. There is a "A1" with a small symbol in between the A and 1 on the front sight, but that's it. I removed the handguard, but nothing there either. I did a quick search on contours and I'm guessing it's an M4 contour. It's been about 25 years since I was in the Marine Corps, but I'm guessing it's very similar to weight barrel we had then.

Thanks for the input everyone. I didn't think there was much value in it. I just wish there were some additional identifying marks on it. Thanks again.
