Finally got the call

For my tax stamp on my suppressor. Only took 9 months and 5 days. Honestly I was expecting it a bit sooner but there was a rush before the laws changed in July and before the election that have slowed things down. I hope the new government passes the hearing safety act and all this tax stamp nonsense goes away. Basically it's a muffler. I went with a Griffin Recce 7. Can't wait to try it out.

I don't expect mine before mid year at the earliest. It's in at the dealer's, and I went to see it, but it stays there until the stupid process is complete. Pretty bad when a person can pass a check over the phone and walk out with a weapon within about 20 minutes, but a non-weapon has to take between 9 moths and a year. Only regret I'll have is that probably right after I finally take possession of it, they'll drop it from the list and the next guy won't have to pay the $200. I got a Sig Sauer

the video on you tube of their raven 556 suppressor is impressive...puff puff puff...quiet

i am looking at suppressors now that semi autos are legal for hunting Pa

If they are shooting HV ammo you will hear more than a click.

I'll look at it but I can tell you right now if you only hear the action then they are using subsonic ammo.

I have extensive experience with suppressed weapons. I have shot suppressed weapons from 22 up to and including a M21 with a Sionics suppressor. If you do not use subsonic ammo you can hear the bullet.

BTW I was shot at with a suppressed 45. The only thing I heard was the round hitting the radio in my jacket pocket. The bullet then ricochet off the ground and hit a wall near where some of the guys were standing. For a half second we froze until one of the guys saw the slug spinning on the hardtop. No one heard it coming because the 45ACP is subsonic. We recovered a 45 230 RN slug.

Bohunr

I looked at the video. They do not ID the ammo. It is probably subsonic. I could only hear the action and the bullet strike. I should note I'm half deaf and can only hear lower frequency sounds. BTW you can hear others shooting in the background with sonic (is that the correct term?) ammo.

We had some of the original suppressed Rugers. What I saw is about what I remember about how they performed.

Just an FYI,, semi auto's are NOT yet legal. The law passed just gives the PGC power to regulate them. Nothing has been passed yet actually allowing them.
