S&W MP-15s

been looking to pick up an AR.
reviews on the S&W MP-15 seem pretty decent for the money and I could get one for like $600 out the door.

my question is ,
if I grab one will I be dealing with proprietary parts with this model?
one of the selling points of the AR platform is the interchangeability of parts across manufacturers

while I think the S&W fits my needs sufficiently i'm willing to look elsewhere if it will prevent expandibility.

Re: S&W MP-15s

It will be compatible with other "mil spec" parts.

Good no frills guns.

Is there anything you must have on an AR carbine?

You can add it later

Re: S&W MP-15s

The Ruger AR15 use proprietary parts...the MP line is GTG if you get the I or the II.
