7.62x39 mag recommendation?

I looking for recommendations on a mag for an AR style 7.62x39. Looking for 30 round and larger capacity mags.
Thanks.

Re: 7.62x39 mag recommendation?

i have no personal recommendations for you in a 7.62x39 mag but i think magpul makes some and they have a good reputation.

i use their .223/5.56 mags and they work great.

Magpul has a cult like following, but truth be known their AK products aren't up to par.

PMags for AR15 is different than for AK, so don't let the name fool you.

Any of the surplus 7.62x39 mags will work...they will cost less and are very durable.

Re: 7.62x39 mag recommendation?

I run TAPCO's in my RPK, after thousands of rounds they still function great although the magazine catch is plastic and gets a little banged up but they still work great.

Some guys have problems with this but I'm guessing they're doing to many "Instructor Zero" style reloads haha.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.

Re: 7.62x39 mag recommendation?

Thanks all, I just ordered some extra mags from the gun manufacturer. Same as what came with the gun, D&H tactical mil spec. The original works well so I stuck with them for now.
