The Highjacked thread

So if the moderators will allow it what do you think. A lot of us share the same interest and it seems that once we get going things get to changing within a thread, which I like. So why don't we start one and see where it goes. I imagine there should be some topics that get discussed and be worthy of starting a completely new thread. It would be nice to keep it hunting shooting or outdoors related.

I'll start things off, 300 posted a pic of a few morels, those of you that don't know what they are or how good they taste you're missing out on one of natures most delectable treats. I laughed when he said he couldn't remember where he found them. This is the biggest one I ever found, for the life of me I cannot remember where it was!!!!

Re: The Highjacked thread

300 Norma, you mentioned how much you like the 25-06, that's my go to deer gun. I'm using 100 grain sierra game kings with 52.2 of H4350. Its my hunting rifle and bone stock, I never played with different bullets because these seem to be accurate enough for a hunting load. Hits a 1 gallon milk jug at 650 consistently. When you played with loads did you see major improvement with the smk?

Re: The Highjacked thread

yup, the 100SMK was best LR bullet i found in my browning-BDL and classic 25-06's. It was very accurate with H4350.i have to dig up the charge but it was the best bullet i ever shot in factory rifles and it did very well on deer and groundhogs.

my biggest morell (or moron LOL) between 2 beers just kidding, he is a great friend!

A "clip" is a clip, aka Def: a device, typically flexible or worked by a spring, for holding an object or objects together or in place.
a "Magazine" is a magazine aka Def: a chamber for holding a supply of cartridges to be fed automatically to the breech of a gun.

so a "clip" holds the "magazine" in place. get it?

Re: The Highjacked thread

Nope. As long as it weighs more than 25 lbs.

Dogs under 25 lbs. are vermin.

Saw a bumpersticker one time. It said "Jack Russell Terriers: They're football-shaped for a reason"
