.308 scope

I haven’t been on here in awhile but I just got .308 savage axis for Christmas. Going to be installing a new trigger spring soon just sighted it in today. The gun has a weaver scope on it but I was looking for something a little better but won’t break the bank. I’m going to be using the gun for range fun and hopefully I’ll get a chance to take it hunting next year. Scope dosnt have to be a name brand just wondering what a good scope for maybe 300yds would be. I was reading online supposedly a berska 30/30 varmint scope is good but don’t know if it can handle recoil. Looking for some suggestions. Thanks

Look at the Leupold Freedom 3x9x40, put one on my 25.06 and I like it, also a lifetime warranty, they go for around 199.99 new...But you will be able to get a used one online.. the warranty still stands, so you can`t go wrong...

Checkout any Leupold Gold Ring. Assembled in the US by American workers. Lifetime warranty.

Vortex does not have a manufacturing facility in the US all are imports. They can afford to sell scopes cheap and flood the market because they have no overhead and pay sweatshop labor rates overseas.

I’ll check it out yea I’m not looking to break the bank on this rifle I don’t want to put a scope on worth more than what the gun was bought new for lol.

Do not buy a Barska. You're better off with the Weaver you have on there. I agree with everyone else, Leupold or Vortex.

Little out of my price range for going budget build even used people still want more than 200 on the flea-bay.

I’ll keep searching for a used Leupold I’m going to a gun show next weekend I’ll see if theirs any floating around. Going to look for some .308 surplus ammo just for plinking.
