Long range deer rig (problems)

In my typical fashion I finished my long range hunting rig for this upcoming season and now I have problems. In my typical craziness the problem is the gun is AWESOME and shoots scary lights out. I tried a complete new caliber, action, trigger and scope this year. Now can I keep it long enough to kill a deer????

7X300 WSM shooting the 180 ELDM
Kelbly Kodiak action
Bix N Andy Trigger
Krieger 9 twist barrel
Kelbly BR stock
Vortex golden eagle scope

It's verified out too 2000, and I am very pleased with it just got to not sale or trade it for that long. I will get some pic's up.

How are you liking the golden eagle? I had contemplated picking up one for long range Varmint hunting but never got around to it as I built an entirely new gun instead.

The answer is NO
you won’t be able to keep it till deer season
That’s like 3 months away
That’s at least 3-4 projects for you
Lol
If it wasn’t for me being full on 7mm and 338 we’d probably already be dealing
Lmao

I like the golden eagle - the eye box is better than my NF comp honestly, not as forgiving as my ATACR, but the extra power is nice. I give it a big thumbs up especially for the price. LOL Still might you never know Hankster!!!!

Gotcha, I’ve got a Razor Gen 2 and a Revic PMR on my two long range rifles but the extra magnification would be helpful for picking out small targets.

If you want to look through one just let me know. I never got along with the Razor well I have always loved my ATACR's.

I just searched the razor gen 2 , very impressing. I have 3 NFX 5.5 x 22 x50. I was wondering how many moa of elevation you have? They only seem to list it in Mirad. How do you like this scope compared to NF? Was looking for something for my new 260 AI that could track but yet for regular woods. Was thinking along the 4.5 x 14 don't want a BC, vmt, zplex reticle would sooner dial in. I noticed the Vortex was quite heavy at around 42 oz. compared to NF at 32oz.

Honestly the NF dominants the vortex in every category except the competition is the golden eagle. And I still think the NF wins but it's $800 more. Razor vs ATACR the atacr or nxs wins imho. And I have had them all!!

Okay, thanks! Im looking at a vortex think it was a 3-15 something that from midway for around 600 and sounds like it would track well. Just don't care at this time to spend the extra money.

For that distance look at the diamond back tactical. They just released it 30mm tube ffp and 15 moa per revolution. Really nice and cheap. Shoot me a message I can get you on contact with a dealer that will hook you up
