renting mifflin county sportsmans club

Does anyone know if a non-member can rent out the 1000 yard range for a day at Mifflin County Sportsmans Club? And what it would cost? A few of my friends and I would like to rent it out for a fun shoot.

Thanks everyone!

Justin

Another option might be to consider memberships in the Ridgeway Rifle Club.
The ranges are open for member use every day there aren't any matches scheduled.

Great idea yobuck, however, ridgeway is a good 3 1/2 hour drive for me.

Ive never been to ridgeway club. and i have a friend who lives pretty close to the range. So i could probably make a few weekends to shoot.

Well it would be an option, and a good one. Membership is $50 first year and $35 for renewal.
Lots of benches under roof, and shooting at clay birds on the
berms at various distances including 1000 yds is permitted.
Not sure if camping is permitted but there would be lots of room for it.

Just join the club, as long as there's no match going on your free to use what you want on the upper range, only problem is it's up hill and not good for setting scope marks for flat shooting...there's a road running right up to the top, not sure if you'd want to take your new truck up so get hold of a quad and have at it....also you might want to check out Reade Range .org. They have memberships and matches most weekends but I would think it would be open for use during the week, it's as flat as an landing strip..near Prince Galitzen state park..

Lots of great options, if you want to stretch them out you can hit ground hog shoots at Mifflin, as dasher can confirm, they are fun and extremely challenging, Ridgway offers 1000 yard benchrest silhouette, and let me tell you, they are the most fun shoot I've ever attended, it's a ground hog match on steroids. They average 150+ shooter's every match. It's more fun than a barrel of monkeys. And worth the drive, one couple comes from Canada to every match
