inspection issue??

Hello
i have a 96 tahoe with tilt wheel and auto trans that shifts on the center console (tree). long story short the shift handle broke and i must now use a pry bar to shift gears. will it fail inspection in March? any suggestions. any one got a column i can buy lol?

Why would you not put a new or used shift lever in the truck? Why mess around with a pry bar?

I was afraid i couldnt find a used one before March and sure wasnt gonna spend that kind of money for a new one on a truck that old. but my family friend found a used one at a junk yard so im in luck. turns out this is a common year make and model!! woo hoo. i will be installing this week after work one night

but then again who doesnt want a pry bar gear shift. i might put one on my truck, original...love it

Agreed.I have pistol grip shifters,slap stick.Why not a crow bar shifter.COOOOOOOOOOOL.
