Tire Recommendation Please

I have a black 2011 F150 that I put a 4 inch lift kit on last fall. I will be needing new tires in the near future. I have 20 inch Pirellis that came with the truck. My tire size is 265, but I think I'm gonna get 275s bc I have the extra room now with the lift kit. I researched this part and it seems to be do-able, it should change the real speed versus the speed on the speedometer by less than 4 miles per hour. So..... now my question.... What tires should I buy? I want an aggressive look but obviously get good gas mileage. Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

Re: Tire Recommendation Please

We just replaced tires on my wifes Avalanche LTZ. It has 20s on it which made it hard to find aggressive tread tires for it. We settled on 2 choice..Goodyear silent armor, or hancook dynapro atm. We went with the goodyear and are real happy with them. They did real well in the snow and ice this year and are supposed to do well in the mud. Hope this helps.

Re: Tire Recommendation Please

I just put a 2 1/2" lift on my '09 Silverado and went to 275/70's on 18" rims. the larger rim size really jumps the price up...ALOT!!! I went w/goodyear dura-tracs n love em so far...aggressive look but don't seem to hum much and mileage change was about 2mpg's less...

Re: Tire Recommendation Please

I had a set of Dura Tracs on my Chevy 2500 Duramax. They wore horrible. I had to replace then with half tread on them, I had a rock go puncture center tread while off road. I was really disappointed them.

I run General Grabber AT2 on two of ours...they look great, ride in snow awesome, but I will only give them a C rating in mud as they don't self clean their treads that well. Very low to no highway noise.

Best price you will find though..even in the E rated.

Re: Tire Recommendation Please

I run cooper discoverer STT on my truck, a lot of road noise with the aggressive tread but they will go anywhere. They are 10 ply, load range E.

Re: Tire Recommendation Please

Here is what not to buy. I bought Goodyear AT/S all terrain tires for my 1996 Tahoe and they stink!! Bad in wet and wearing out quickly and not quite aggressive enough in mud and snow. Big mistake on my part.
