kinda a truck question

I have an 83 ford motorhome that is low on brake fluid would it take dot3 or some other kin? thanks for any input.

take a kid hunting and fishing it will keep them out of trouble

I would guess yes. Usually they say on the cap.

that's what I thought but cant find it on there 30 year old cap is kinda rusty

is it a class a motorhome on a ford chassis, or is it a mini motor on an e-series chassis? I'LL try to check both for ya and let you know.

on either one dot 3 brake fluid will work. checked with a couple of guys here at the ford dealership where I work, our online shop manuals only go back to 1992.

also u should probably go over it thoroughly to find out why u r low on fluid, must be leaking somewhere!

its on an e series and I am going to get it to the shop and the mechanic can take a look thanks for the info

seems to have brought the brakes back gonna get inspected next week hopefully not too costly of a repair
