Fob key

I learned today that my house cable line is interfering with my remote and only lets my truck lock and unlock from 5 feet away. When I get to work it works just like it should. Anyone else have experiences like this?

Re: Fob key

You're talking cable as in Comcast, or someone else, for TV/Internet etc.?

If so, I doubt that is what's interfering, as that coax cable is shielded. I would suspect a WiFi signal or Bluetooth might possibly interfere with the FOB signal.

The cable could possibly interfere (still doubtful) if there is a loose connection or bad connector, cut in the shielding, or even an un-terminated port on a splitter. I would check all of the connections from where the cable comes to the house, to whatever device(s) it terminates on.

Good luck!! Chasing down RF interference can be a real pain sometimes!

Shoot straight

People are sick of politicians, and me, I hate cats in the house.

Re: Fob key

I'm not for certain that's what it is but if I move it out of the driveway then it works perfect. That's the only thing I could come up with.
