Tacoma Tires

I'm going to replace my tires on my 2005 Tacoma before winter. For you Tacoma owners, what's on your truck?
I currently have the Bridgestone Dueler A/T 265/70 R16.

Re: Tacoma Tires

I don't have a Tacoma, and I'm not sure if you're looking for strictly a winter tire, but I have been running hankook RW 11's on my wife's patriot and have been thoroughly impressed. Goes just about anywhere in 2wd. Directional tread with tons of grip.

Re: Tacoma Tires

I don't have a Tacoma but I do have a 2005 Tundra. OE's were BF Goodrich Rugged Trail, I got 23900 miles out of them. Next were Bridgestone Duelers , replaced them 30000 miles later with BF Goodrich Rugged Trail , because I only need to buy 3 using the spare, got 23000 out of that set. I now have Firestone Destinations, will need to replace them next winter, and they will have abot 24000 miles on them. I will add that the Firestone Destinations are not up to my standards, I had to put the chains on two different times, in conditions that should not have warrant them. I will probably go back to the Bridgestone Duelers, IMO they are a good tire, both mileage and in snow or mud. I might also add that I rotate my tires at every oil change, around 5000 miles.

Re: Tacoma Tires

I have cooper at3 265 75 16 on now. Probably get about 40 out of them. Had 285 75 16 before. They were pro comp at. Truck has 3 inch lift. About 40 out of them. I think 265 75 would fit the stock 2005 tacoma. Also had cooper s/t... Around 40. Also Had 265 70 16 bf Goodrich at kao. Got 70000 out of them. They are a 10 ply tire and expensive. Loved them.

It's a good spot. Just not today.

Re: Tacoma Tires

I have a 2006 double cab long bed tacoma with a cap. The stock dunlop grandteks lasted about 30,000. I had 265/75/16 Revos for 55,000 miles, but they were not as good in the snow as the BFG AT KO that i had on my 98 Tacoma. When the Revos needed replaced, I went back to the stock 245 size with BFG AT KO tires which have been on about 20000 miles.

Re: Tacoma Tires

General Grabbers on my stock 01 Tacoma easily handled a muddy cornfield that claimed an F-150 with Goodyear Wranglers as a victim Saturday. The driver humbly followed me back out... but in all fairness the Goodyear's looked a little worn down.
