CWD positive

Had to pick up certified letter Monday from PGC. States head I turned in tested positive for CWD. Also says "Please contact your local game warden as soon as possible". Called Monday afternoon. Person I talked to acted like they didn't understand why I was calling. Left phone # to be called back with no response back yet. Thought maybe they would want better idea of harvest area instead of just County & township. Are they using "you made your bed now lie in it" mentality since the public shutdown their culling. Plus on the fence with what to do with meat.

Call the Harrisburg headquarters and speak to one of the officers in the Bureau of Wildlife protection and tell them why you are calling. Who was the letter from? If it was from wildlife management then they are the people to call in HBG.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

wouldnt it be nice if they let the local Game Wardens know whats going on, so they know what to expect when you call

More better to have a specific number for a specific person (warden or biologist) to handle followup on all positive results? Not like there are hundreds of these (yet).

So, Buzzy has been eating the meat from a CWD infected deer. How do you feel about that Buzzy?

I've spent most of my money on Waterfowling, Women and Whiskey.
The rest of my money I just wasted.

Looking back, did you remember noticing anything strange about the deer after you harvested it?
