certainly not the deer farming criminals!

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Every deer hunter should read this. I really like Duane, heard him speak a few times. All science no spin, that guy.

None of that was good news. But the facts are the facts. I'd rather see the deer herd reduced now than do nothing and hope for the best because a cure is certainly not right around the corner. I cant believe the deer farms are still in operation and moving deer.

I'm not trying to start an argument, but rather I am looking for facts that I can use to write my congressman.

How do deer farms spread CWD to wild herds ? Are there significant documented cases of this ?

What WW said is the truth about farms that raise deer! Please don't leave this important information out. Yes! there is plenty of articles on CWD and deer farms. Any Congressman that hunts or cares knows this!

I believe the information in that blog. This indicates that right at this moment, two major mistakes are being made in our battle against CWD (well, three if you count closing down deer farms, which should be priority one):

1. The guy that is protesting the sharpshooters in northern Bedford and southern Blair counties is misguided and he should step aside and let the sharpshooters do what has to be done.

2. Antler restrictions have to be eliminated in CWD management zones.

The way to contain this disease is to kill a lot of deer and kill them young, and this is not happening.

This seems obvious to me as well. So why do you suppose its not being done?

I'm not sure. I doubt AR is so popular in those areas that there would be a huge protest, like there was with the sharpshooters. I'd hate to think there was some political reason. Maybe they are just slow on the uptake (which would also be sad).

Good read. Thanks.

If Sunday hunting was not already illegal, who among us would not laugh at making it so?
