I would think that a variant of CWD one day infecting humans is inevitable.

Is this another manufactured crisis? Maybe, maybe not. I do know there is no record of a human getting CWD from eating deer meat. Over the last 10 or so years there have been several forms of crisis that were going to wipe out the deer. At times I wonder if it's not a ploy to discourage deer hunters. Think about it, no deer huntres, their friends and family they influence, you get rid of the base who support the Second Ammendment. Think it's far fetched? The Muslim leaders have said they are in it for the long haul and will one day rule us. Perhaps the liberals have adopted the same tactic. Never say never. I read the Muslims control both the French and Britain parliaments. It's a devious scary world out there and it's easy to be complacent.

Map of positive-CWD-tested free-ranging deer in PA (as of Nov 2018): https://www.pgc.pa.gov/Wildlife/Wild...20Township.pdf

Where has CWD been found in Pennsylvania?
In Pennsylvania, Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) has been detected in these Disease Management Areas (DMAs): DMA 1 on a captive deer farm in Adams County during 2012 (DMA 1 has since been eliminated); DMA 2 in multiple free-ranging deer in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, and Fulton counties since 2012, and captive deer farms in Bedford, Franklin, and Fulton counties during 2017; DMA 3 in two captive deer farms in Jefferson County during 2014 and a free-ranging deer in Clearfield County during 2017. DMA 4 in a captive deer at a facility in Lancaster County during 2018. View a map of positive cases by township (PDF). In addition, CWD has been detected in wild or captive deer and/or elk in many other states and provinces.

That may be so, but that is not CWD. Life is full of what ifs. Yes it's often wise to error on the side of caution. We each must make our choices , I just know I am tired of every thing is the next CRISIS.
