That is nothing new. It has been happening in WV for a long time because squirrel brains is a favorite of the mountain people there, the medical profession had put out info against eating squirrel brains because the disease can be transmitted to humans by eating them. There are tribes in the south Pacific that eat the brains of their dead and get the same disease. They all should use brains to think with instead of for food. When I was in high school I cut meat in a grocery store. When we got steer brains to sell I had to clean the things, there is a membrane that must be removed. I can't imaging eating them.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

It sort of makes me want to stop eating squirrel. As I was reading the news story yesterday I realized that brain matter could make it's way onto the meat pretty easily...
