DMA2 changes

I heard that there's changes to the doe tags and reporting requirements for DMA2 but I haven't found any evidence of this online so was wondering if anyone here could shine some light on the subject. Thanks

I called the P.G.C. and here is what i was told.
DMA-2 will be split into 2 different areas this season. These will be areas 28-74 and 28-75. If i heard the fellow right, there will be 7200 tags issued in this area? Also it has expanded a little further North.
To get the true facts i guess we will have to wait until it is released on line or into the book when you buy your license ?

Wow only 7200 tags and expanding the area. It used to be 13k for a smaller area when it first started.

I'd be willing to bet that most deer are on private land and there's very little private land in the dma2 area enrolled in dmap. Most dmap land is state forest and army corp ground. At least around me. So it doesn't seem like this is a very good decision by the PGC if they are wanting to prevent the spread of cwd?

As read it, the former special tags will all be issued as DMAP...... and can be used anywhere within the boundaries of DMA 2.

I enrolled my property along with leased ground in to DMAP and got approved.

Do you have a link to this info? Reason I ask is because under the dmap program dmap tags are only good for the property they are issued for and I'm not finding cwd specific dmap tags mentioned anywhere

Go to the PGC website. Download the 2017/18 digest. The info can be found there. Be sure to read it closely because I maybe wrong about them being able to be used anywhere....instead to be used where they need hunters to focus on.. ???
