Re: Couple more points.

Roger that. I still have a few from when I was a kid and now and then I hold them in my hand and try to imagine the person who made them, what they were experiencing, and what may have been going on in terms of history when the points were made and used. Sometimes I can imagine that I smell wood smoke, and I am watching a knaper at work. Other times, a hunter stalking game or a father teaching a son how to hunt with a bow.

Good night Chesty, wherever you are......

Re: Couple more points.

FYI....my DAD found hundreds over his life time without a detector. He wound ask permission and walk freshly ploughed fields after a rain. He had tremendous patience and great eyes. I have some excellent points, a tomahawk and a grinding bowl to relive our times together.
