I got a call sunday from my uncle asking if I could help find there freinds wedding ring.
Ok so my son and I met Joan yesterday at her home and she explained how she lost her ring. She was triming a little hedge next to her garage and then loaded the branches in her car and took them to another property she owns about 2 miles away. After returning home from dumping the branches she noticed her ring was gone. My uncle told me a diamond ring but when I asked her she said No its my gold wedding band and my late husbands gold band welded together. We started by checking all around the side of the garage and hunted for about 20 mins with alot of good signals but more then 2 inches, I knew it couldnt be that deep so we didnt waste time digging them. I then said lets go to where you dumped the branches. When we got there she explained exactly what she did and we started searching, I was finding nails, old tarp eylets and the detector was going crazy! I told my son to set the sesitivty to 0 because it has to be near the top. Well just as I did that the ace250 got quite and all of a sudden it sounded off like beautiful church bells! It was right under my coil and pushed into the dirt. She must have drove over it when she came back to look her self. Well I never seen an elderly lady jump around so much in my life! She was so happy and so was I. Reading things on here alot about some of you guys finding and returning rings just dont sink in untill you can accually do it. The feeling was amazing! Oh I also got 2 new properties to detect!
Also her is an email I recieved when I got home last night!
No words can convey what I feel tonight, thanks to your kindness and time. I loved the way you interacted with your son. Teaching elementary school for my first 20 yrs. in the classroom was a real blessing and privilege. You’ve taught him well. Be sure to tell him how much I appreciated his being here and helping. In a short time I hope to get back to you with something nice. I’m still a teary-eyed, but this time it’s from happiness. Joan
