Square cut copper nails ?

Copper nails were used for slate shingles and copper flashing on 1800's houses . Boat builders used copper cut nails with a washer on pointed end and peened over after driving thru planks.

The bunch i found were along a creek ! Turns out there was a water wheel there a long time ago for a grist mill !
The way i found this out was i went and found and old map that had it located and marked on it !
