A Little Civil War Lead

There's advantages and disadvantages to living 20 miles south of Gettysburg,Pa. For one the history and the many battles from the civil war is everywhere. The problem many people have been pestered for years from treasure hunters. Getting permission is a major problem then you have to hope there's still relics to be found.
These bullets were unexpected from a back yard just outside of Fairfield. A few 3 ringers one being a Swaged bullet, a round all and a Sharps ringtail.

I live in Orrtanna right near Cashtown. I need to get out with my daughter so she can hunt with her metal detector. Part of our yard is built up, but the lower part is not. But it gets pretty swampy there. One day I hope to find an affordable detector for myself.

Wow some more great finds, I can imagine the pressure put on property owners there.
Not much civ on the flip side of the state most area's are built on or paved over.

Did you hear about the guys who harvested a huge 150+ year old gator in the south somewhere and it still had Civil War era lead mini balls in its hide!!

Well, sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes, well, he eats you, so the Dude must abide!

well seeing how the civil war been over for 152 years, and an alligator lives between 30 and 50 years.

The way that you wander is the way that you choose,
The day that you tarry is the day that you lose.
Sunshine or thunder, a man will always wonder.
Where the fair wind blows.
