Re: Metal Detector?

I would look at Fisher F-2. I had one when I first stated and it was /is awesome metal detector.

You can find them for great price new and used. I would also check out Tesoro Compadre machine. both are excellent and could be purchased for less than 200.00. Feel free to shoot me a PM I can point ya to a very helpful dealer.

will hunt for food....

Re: Metal Detector?

Garrett AT PRO. I have one and used it 2 years now. I love it. You cannot go wrong with that unit. I named her "Silverbird" It does take time to get use to the machine. I will be honest alot of the rings and coins I do find range 1"-3". There is some I found as deep as 8"-12". I did notice the AT PRO works really excellent in moist soil. This time of year is best to get out with any detector.

For trashy areas I have a 5X8 coil. I use it alot unless I go to an area not trashy I use the stock coil. Another thing I want to add. The Garrett pro pointer is great. I am on my 4th pointer. ( I do alot of detecting) Garrett warranties the unit for 2 years and I have gotten a new pointer average 6 months and return the defective unit. I get a new one no questions ask. There service's are outstanding and they stand behind there products. Happy hunting. You want more info. or like to read what other's find. look up Treasurenet.com alot of good readings and you can learn from the forums.
