first findings

these are a few of my first finds. just got into it this week. 1956 dime, 1865 indian head penny, and a 18k gold ring! [img:center]http://[/img]

Is there a way to clean the penny off with out ruining it? Because all I can see is the date and a little bit of the Indians head. I was going to try scrubbing it but didn't know if that would ruin it.

Nice finds. For Indian heads and wheaties I just boil some peroxide then soak the coin in it till it cools then wipe with a soft cloth. Repeat if necessary. Just put enough peroxide in a small dish and nuke it for about 45 seconds, pull out and add coin. Don't do that with a key date though
