Re: Arrowhead Worth??

I would be interested in purchasing a few.
Live near Frederick, Md and can drive.

Does eBay allow them to be sold?

Many fakes too...Let the buyer beware!...Personally, buying arrowheads is like tagging someone elses deer...It's yours but you didn't do the work to obtain it.

Condition means everything, as well as the material they are made from , and size is always a plus as long as the piece is defect free....A busted shoulder or notch reduces the value considerably.......Jasper is always in demand but it is found mainly in the eastern part of the state where the arrowheads hold a much higher value because of their type and rarity.........The western part of Pa. is actually part of the Ohio River Valley and nicer "Flints" are found there, but because of the large size of that area, value is reduced because they are so common in that area.....I myself focus on points found in the Susquehanna Valley.

A nice little collection of field grade points..I see a lot of Rhyolite, Quartz, and indurated shale and Quartzite.Typically, some of them would be $5 points on Ebay with maybe about four exceptions which would go higher....Some of the misshapened points might bring a few bucks if sold together...I would sell them all in a frame or split them up into two frames and ask $50 for each frame.

Nice collection. A guy at work has been collecting them for years and has an outstanding collection. I'll ask him what they may be worth. I agree you probably can get more in a frame. I know he has framed a lot.

Enjoy life and take a hike on the AT.
