Got silver!

got a 1916 mercury dime today. Not to shabby. Sorry for bad photo, was taken on my iPod.

How long did you stare at it before you turned it over to check for a mint mark? Must have been a rush. Great job on the silver

It was a rush. Sadly the back is so worn I can't see a mint mark so was a little sad about that but still it's a 1916 merc!

Make the Long Rifle Pennsylvania's official state rifle.

The back looks like it almost has no printing on it because its so worn.

a 1916D mark would be thousands of dollars
21plain is a good one
21D is a good one
26S is semi good
42 with the 2 over a 1 is great value
as is 42D with same 2 over 1.

All the rest are worth a few bucks each.

as far as coins in general, you should always be looking for "CC" (carson city). Due to their short run, they are all desirable and hold high values, but that mark was well before Mercs were made.
