3 Hour Sunday Hunt with My Nephew

3 Hour hunt with my Nephew 4c_game_chaser yesterday at a former 1875 School

for the first hour or so I was mainly finding trash & clad
and getting a bit frustrated

then all of a sudden started finding Wheats & silver

when I got down to dig one target

I got this Token

and another target I started pulling out Pennies.
Not taking time to look at what they were,
I kept saying on My Mind Be wheat, Show me silver

and all of a Sudden

out Popped a Walking Liberty Half Dollar

So I looked over to where my Nephew was & yelled Hey !
& motioned to him to come over

All Totaled from one hole

I Believe the stains on the silver are from the Tin

I believe this was a kid's Cache in the Late 1940's because of this

the oval tin pieces look like the shape of
old Flat Prince Albert Tobacco Tins.

other finds yesterday

Thanks for Looking

Jeff

Seeing all that silver come out of one hole surely brought my energy level back! Way to go!

Re: 3 Hour Sunday Hunt with My Nephew

yes Especially the Half on the left .
it looks like it has a nice shine to it yet and very little wear. only damage that little bit of toning from being up against the tin pieces.
there was a 3rd Half also. it was a 1945,

I pulled it out in the same area a few days before. But didn't get the signal on the rest
till the day 4c_ was with. he was my good luck.

being the rarity of finding 1 half let alone 3 at the same place & location,
I'm confident it was part of the same cache, but for some reason after digging it the others didn't sound off,
till the next visit.

I can only guess after digging the '45 my probe & detector was hitting on the tin pieces and Nulling
till the next visit & swinging the detector from a different angle

THANKS ALL for looking !
