I use a sony fx7. Its a pro-consumer type. What ever you get just make sure it is HD.

Fx7's are a little out of my league. I'm sure you get some great fotage with it though. I was looking at a Canon Vixia HF S30 or maybe a g10. They are both top end comsumer camcorders. Great video quality plus 10x manual zoom which its great for filming hunts

Re: Which camcorder are you using?

I have a Sony HDR-AX2000. I will be using this camera primarily for filming out night hunting of predators, but will also be using it for deer, turkey and other daytime hunting.
Which ever camera you choose just make sure you use it to film while having fun. Filming can become like a job and when that happens the fun ends!!

Whatever you get, go with HD.

I use a Vixia HF M40. Good quality, the only feature I would like to see is night vision.

Re: Which camcorder are you using?

At Home: XHA1, and an HV20. HD is in just about every camera now but a 1080i censor doesn't do diddly through junk glass. Larger censors, multiple frame rate options, larger lens objectives will make the camera more adaptable to lighting conditions for better footage.

For work: the bodies differ but usually always canon glass.

Anymore, I'd rather be grouse hunting on Saturday as college FB kills the entire day.

If guns cause crime, mine must be broken.
