DIY Camera Arm

Not finding a camera arm in my price range, I decided to make one. So taking a screw in two section bow hanger, I cut the end section in half, and re-attached them with a small bolt and plastic washers to make another moveable joint, then I attached a piece of wood long enough to drill a hole and insert a dowel. I shaped the end of the dowel, to fit the head of my camera tripod, which i then attached with a screw. Now I have a camera arm that bends in two places and a dowel that also turns.

Re: DIY Camera Arm

That is very cool. I bought the gorilla camera arm last season for around 30 bucks and like it. It's not the best, but works. I think you will enjoy using your invention and should be very rewarding.
