Action Camera Question

Been doing a lot of research on cameras once again, but finding little information that i'm hunting for.... Does anyone know of a decent action camera with a remote control that not only turns the camera off - but can also turn it ON? Hopefully one where the remote works out to 30 or 40+ yards also.

I use a remote to start and stop recording, as well as take still photos on my Virb. Got remote on ebay for 20.00. Only issue is camera is ON and waiting for call, so battery life is shortened.

I've been told that the Gopro's do when paired with a gopro remote.
