Surgery After Major Weight Loss for Loose Skin

Have anybody out there ever have skin surgery to help with excess loose skin after major weight loss? I am seriously contiplating it. Looks like the lower body lift would work for me. Goes from the butt to the belly button. Any info would be great!! Thanks.

Re: Surgery After Major Weight Loss for Loose Skin

A guy that works for me had gastric bypass 2 years ago and he lost more weight then you did. He had loose skin everywhere, arms were the most noticeable but I am sure he had a bit around his gut too.
Problem he had was his health insurance would not pay for most of it. I canít remember how it was but I think they would pay for a certain amount of belly skin, but his neck, arms and face they considered plastic surgery and since there was no medical need they would not pay.
He did end up getting work done but I know he paid for some of it out of pocket.
Check and see what your coverage will do, good luck and congratulations on the loss.

Thanks Birch!! I figured I would have to pay the tow for most if not all of it. I will check on my health coverage but fear it stinks. I only need my butt and below the belly button done. I am lucky in that way. Some end up with all body sag
