Who's running / racing this weekend?

I'm all set for the Run with the Deer Flies in Penn Run Sunday morn. I'm doing the 15 K NOT the 25. 15 of mostly single track trails in the hills is more than enough to kick my can at this point. Who else is racing or just running this weekend ? It should be great weather for late July to take a long run.

I plan on doing an easy run tomorrow. I am recovering from a week of back issues. But good luck on your run, sounds like a good time.

Some.

I ended up taking the weekend off. Had a busy weekend and the only time I had, it was raining. I missed my long run that I normally do Sunday mornings, so I might try and get it in this evening.

Why do they call it common sense when it is so rare.

As I am getting older, I am not sure I would still call it running, but I would like to think of it as , moving forward in a steady upright position. With upright being the most favorable element.

Re: Who's running / racing this weekend?

I had a great time and enjoyed the course. I finished around the time I figured I would and placed second in my age group. This sounds really impressive until you see that there were only 2 of us in the 40-44 Male group ! I drove the truck camper out the night before like I did for the run in Ridgway last Fall. I slept like a log. It actually wasn't as hilly as I expected but there was a fair amount of mud. Despite the name of the race, I didn't see a single deer fly which was fine with me. It starts and finishes at a scout camp so I was able to shower after the race. The next race for me will be the end of August with the Screamin' Legs in Beaver Falls area. I haven't registered yet and I'm thinking about doing the 4 mile instead of the 10. I checked out the terrain and there are some huge hills on both sides of the lake. I don't expect to win but it would be nice to not finish on a stretcher.
