Ketogenic Diet anyone?

Been on it for 8 days, and have lost 11 pounds. Anyone else try this diet? Pluses? Minuses? Problems?

Wishing I was at camp!

Got this book a few days ago. I plan on giving it a go. Makes perfect sense. Great results guru, keep it up.

It works, but in the end it's just a version of low carbs to be simple. I think it's a great diet, but sooner or later you have to find a little more balance than this diet offers in my opinion after you have gotten close to the weight you wish to be. I think if you listen to your body you will be fine.

I agree- everything I'm reading is that it would be very difficult to maintain this as a lifestyle. I needed to get that post-hunting season/post holiday poundage off. I let it get out of control. Only negative I'm experiencing is constipation from the lack of grain/whole fiber. The salads aren't providing enough roughage, and the cheese is too easy to eat and feel fulfilled. Once I hit my goal, I will slowly begin to add good fiber and whole wheat slowly.
