Woodcock condition and care?

I have been wanting to get a woodcock mounted for awhile. Well I shot one tonight but i didn't think it was in good enough condition for a taxi to work with so i ate it. I shot it with a broadhead and about cut its head off.

While handling it, i remember how delicate of a small bird they really are. So my questions are: Is this something an experienced full time taxi can mount? If so, does it have to be fully intact after the shot with basically no damage? And lastly, how should i wrap it for freezing before taking it?

Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks.
