Boy's first deer...8pt!

I took my 9 year old out last night after he got home from school. I have been taking him in the stand with me since he was 5...this was only the second time on stand where he was the hunter. We got into the stand at 4:45 and didn't see anything until 6:15 when this guy showed up!

I stopped him broadside at 30 yards to our right and he let one fly!

I wasn't sure of the placement of the arrow so we stayed in the stand for about 30 minutes then headed home to gather our search party.

After we located the arrow, which was covered in blood, we started tracking. We didn't find one drop of blood around the impact area! I was starting to get nervous until my buddy shined his light on him laying no more than 30 yards from where he was hit!

It was a great night for the entire family!
