Son's first bow deer

After several X-bow kills over the past years Ryan was able to put it all together the last 2 times we went out with his compound. The first was a doe on opening day in 5C (9/17). A perfect double lung pass thru. Yesterday morning in 4C we had a nice 6 point pass by us at dawn but the way our stands are positioned I was in his way for the only shot presented. At 8 AM this sleek 3 pt came by and Ryan made a 20 yd shot and hit both lungs but didn't pass thru. We were both elated. We were able to get both deer to stop with very loud mouth bleats after the shot and got to watch both deer drop within 30 yds of the stand. It doesn't get any better. Both prime eaters also!
