Sons 1st Deer

My Son put in a lot of effort and endured some cold mornings. On the last day of rifle with us getting to our area a little later than usual we found ourselves with out a spot to sit since all the normal spots we hunt had guys in them. We wondered down the trail and found a spot as the sun was coming up, not 20 minutes later a 4 pt. come thru but disappeared as fast as he came. About 20 min. after that this little one stood up out of its bed 35 yds away in a little thicket. My son was able to make the shot and it never took another step.

8 yrs old shooting his first of hopefully many more. I love this mentored youth program and from the smile you can tell my son does also!!

That there smile say`s it all about our mentored youth hunts, and getting them started early. When I was 8 I cried when my Dad went hunting, I know he would have taken me if we had this hunt back then... .Congrats to that young hunter.....

Good job! My son was 8 when he got his first deer. What a great feeling.

I don't have ducks. I don't have rows. I have squirrels. And they're drunk.
