Re: Youth and Mentored Youth Hunters Success Thread

Can anyone offer any insight on this question? Can I take a 11 year old mentour out during the upcoming youth hunt scheduled for Oct 21-23 and with the proper anterless license have the mentour shoot a doe? I read the anterless license can now be transfered to a mentour. Any responses are appreciated.

I do not beleive so.

It is my understanding that the early doe season is a junior / senior Hunter season and not a mentor season.

Mentor hunters are not included in this hunt. It is for only JUNIOR hunters with an anterless license for that area of hunting..

My 12 year old daughter shot her first deer on Saturday. 80 yards with a Tikka T3 in 7MM-08. Would like to thank the PGC for continuing this opportunity for the youth hunters to get a chance at harvesting a deer outside of the regular rifle season.
