Fishing lures

I have seen many on the boards talk about their home made trout lures so I decided to give it a try myself. Its actually really easy and fun. I already posted this under a different thread in the trout section but thought it was DYI worthy.

I documented the process with step by step pictures and links to where I purchased the materials.

I finally made my first lure and documented it in my blog check it out and let me know what ya think...tips pointers...

Re: Fishing lures

I do well on my home built lures also. I make mine like a joes fly which works well for us, only i use a double hook not a treble.

Re: Fishing lures

I hope to do well myself. I originally tried it out because I was tired of the brown rooster tails always being sold out. Now Im going to continue because its kind of fun!

I hope to do some crankbaits here in the future as well but need to figure out what I want to do about buying an airbrush.
