confetti cannon black powder

Im not trying to blow up the neighborhood just thinking of a confetti cannon. anyone got any ideas. i got muzzleloading supplies so 3f and 4f powder. thought of either a cannon type device or a balloon with a wick adn paper and power charge. let the balloon go filled with confetti and a charge where its tied and kaboom? any suggestions?
