If it still sticks to wax paper you could try a potato chip bag. I know it sounds odd but I’ve used it for body filler on cars. Cut the bag open and use the greasy foil side.

Used the Saran Wrap and the Tuff Stuff and the results are remarkable. That is to say the outcome is perfect. Not only was the target repaired with all the voids being filled but the Tuff Suff has acted like a glue that is holding it together.
The Tuff Stuff did not stick to the Saran Wrap hardly at all and only where it spread in the places where the Saran Wrap kind of lapped over on itself.
This is an A+ in the DIY arena.
