Re: shooting bench

If you don't want something rock solid, most portable aren't, a old ironing board works pretty good.

The way that you wander is the way that you choose,
The day that you tarry is the day that you lose.
Sunshine or thunder, a man will always wonder.
Where the fair wind blows.

Re: shooting bench

Coureurs is correct. A light portable bench won't be as good as a permanent one. I built a permanent one behind my house. This is a pretty good one. It didn't take long to build.

Re: shooting bench

Portable is nice but weight typically equals stability. So, if you do make one, avoid going ultra light if you can. Ive built benches before and Ive always had to sacrifice portability for accuracy.

Re: shooting bench

I did a lot of searching and found this portable shooting bench. I did not use the legs that they are using, instead I used a pair of legs from an old banquet table. It is sturdy and can go anywhere.
