Master built smoker repair/conversion

I had a huge batch of fish to smoke and my electric elemement died and will not produce any smoke. I used my amaze-n cold smoker and then finished them off on the grill for the first batch.
Has anyone ever rigged up a new heat source that will fit one of these (hot plate or burner?
I need to smoke the rest on Sunday.
Thanks !

Re: Master built smoker repair/conversion

Thanks Sir, I have replaced the element in the past. I took the cover off(based on all the sharp sheet metal edges they don't want us to do that)
One connector was corroded through. I did a temporary fix but I think it is time to re-wire it.
