Anyone into boat building?

I've been working on a 10' drift pram of my own design. It is ply on frame coated with glass and epoxy. Hopefully it will be done in the next week or two.

Anyone else built their own boat?

Re: Anyone into boat building?

I helped build my own fibergmass barnegat bay sneak box with a friend who built them commercially. Resin and cloth over a plug. Then finish the inside and out hardware and shelves.

When you are up to your butt in alligators, it is hard to remember your intent was to drain the swamp. Stay focused!

Brian, I saw you bringing this outside...I would have stopped to help if I wasn't on a time schedule.

It required removing the steps. If it were a half inch shorter, it would have been easier.

I have had it out a few times and it does a great job of turning, is fairly stable, and will hold two adults and a kid.

I had no idea you were into fine boat building. You are like that dos equis guy.

Re: Anyone into boat building?

I have some experience, I'm not a professional boat builder by any means. Have done different boats at multiple locations over the years, taken classes, ect. I enjoy it.
