Hardwood Floor Scratches

With the other post talking about hardwood floors, it brought up a question that I have that hopefully someone can help?

I have hardwood floors in the downstairs of my house. I noticed that the floor was getting all scratched up from my over hyper dog running inside near the door area ( I clipped her nails already). Then my daughter the other day decided that she was going to “ride” the computer chair around the dinning room and living room. Leaving scratches everywhere, most of them are surface scratches and are unnoticeable when the floor is mopped but once it dries the scratches are still there.

I’ve read mixed reviews on most of those restore products from Lowes or Home Depot. Also read some DIY home remedies like rubbing the walnuts into the scratches…guess oils in the walnut work as a natural stain? Looking for a cheap fix, Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Hardwood Floor Scratches

Orange oil. Sometimes tough to find, Amish stores sell it.
You can probably order it online also. Works like magic.
