5 gal bucket + 13" tree tube method for...

...starting oak seedlings.

Did anyone see this in the latest QDMA Quality Whitetails magazine?? Has anyone tried it?

Great use of old or busted tree tubes and old 5 gal buckets, looks like it gives you a great, easy to plant, easy to transport, high success rate seedling.

I am not sure if I can share the details of the method here, but if you get QW magazine look at pg 60., dec/jan issue.

If you don't get QW magazine and are not a member of QDMA, but like to do this habitat stuff....you should be a member and get the magazine, that is the best tip I can give ya.

I wish I had a venue to do habitat stuff. Id trade my hard work for hunting rights with the right guy. Ive got a pile of ideas just dont have the land.

What I say might not be the popular trend but at least Im not afraid to speak my mind!

RB, you are correct!! QDMA is THE place to go for info on habitat work. That alone is worth the price of membership!!
