Re: QDMA Fundraising Banquet

Thanks for the bump Dale. You do know that particular branch has put in more than $10G worth of food plots and habitat on the ground at the game lands up there, right? Please tell me; how is that a waste of money if someone wants to go, contribute, and they put boots and habitat on the ground?

Your post wasn't wasted. I got to point out some highlights of this QDMA branch.

They have also collected biological data from deer in their area for some time. Pretty inpressive stuff for a little branch. (Good job guys)

Re: QDMA Fundraising Banquet

As the current President of the North Mountain Branch of QDMA I can clarify that a bit more GalthatFishes. Since 2003 and after this coming habitat improvment season we have put down about over $50,000 of matieral onto state game lands. In addition we have accumulated approximately 15,000 man hours of volunteer time which has produced additional funds from Pitman-Robertson amounting to thousands of additional dollars that in turn goes towards PGC for habitiat purposes. In addition, we have donated robo deer to the PGC for catching poachers, supported HUnts For Healing for returning veterans, Participate in Hunters Sharing the Harvest, funded youth hunter education courses, collected deer data, helped landowners improve their properties by advising them on how to do so, supported the fund for WCO Grove who was killed inthe line of duty, allow high school senior to work on our projects for eagle scout award, merit badges and senior projects that include planting of food plots to the building of mason bee boxes to help with pollination for fruit bearing trees and a myriad of other items that get primary funding through our fundraising banquets. Tell me again Dale how this is a waste of time?
