I said before let me know if theres anything I can answer for you RB. We just had a meeting Sunday to figure out upcoming events. Were gonna have a hunter saftey course(our president is certified to give them). Gonna try to work with Chevron on some restorations on gamelands too. You got my number don't hesitate to call. The Maryland branch based by Deep Creek/Friendsville has 27,000 acres under managment in only 2 years. Only 3000 is part of a hunting club. That means 24,000 are land owners. It is checkerboarded but the President AJ told me more and more holdouts are coming around and joining in.
I have started a co-op in my area and plan on expanding this Spring. I made a letter explaining what QDM is and the advantages of it. Made 100 copies and plan on driving around the area that I live in and place it in the mail boxes with a number to call. I will then have a meeting to further explain the plan and go from there. I currently have about 400 acres and plan on getting around 1000 total.

I hope it works ot RB. I'm sure if you contacted the president from the MD branch by e-mail he would help in any way. AJ was a very nice guy when I met him. I was gonna try to get him to speak at our branch banquet by he had other plans. Maybe next year. In my area it would never happen around the areas I hunt. People are plain selfish sometimes. I just grin and bear it. The good with the bad.
Best advice is just keep talking, and perhaps, get a QDMA membership for the person/persons you are talking to.
That's a very good one that I bet many folks don't even think about while thinking about ways to make thier points hit home when they get the opportunity to talk to a neighbor on QDMA. Excellent. Keystonepaul
