Pics from the HPA ice fishing gathering!!!!

The guys already talked about this down in the fishing forums, so I thought I would share my pics of the Ice fishing event from last weekend up here.

It was a great event spurred on by HPA NW rep Gary3414..the event was Saturday in some serious wind, and since i was staying the whole weekend and am a ice fishing newbie, gary even came back up Sunday and brought his shanty to shelter my boys.

The fishing was a little slow, but I caught my first thru the ice fish at age 42 , a perch, and had a blast....my boys were fishing in the shanty at the time and just made it out in time to makes some pics and take a short vid.

Anyway, i would love to caption all these but there aree just too many.

Although the weekend had sort of a tramatic end and rush home Monday morning for us(with my daughter going to the ER back home with the onset of Diabetes), the time we spent over there was top notch as was the company. My boys loved it...and so did I and we hope it to be an annual thing.

Thanks all, you make this site what it is. And now the pics...please ask questions if you got them, faces with names, etc..

Great pic's of a fun ice time RB!!

Very best wishes to your Daughter. With the fine medical technology today I pray there will be minimal impact to her life style. Treatment normally doesn't significantly impair normal activities.

My Mrs has type 2 diabetes which onset was coupla years ago at mid 50's. She on occasions experiences some sores on her feet tuff to heal which immediately we tend to at the York Hospital Wound Healing Center. She needs to loose weight taking pressure off feet which would really help.

May God bless your Family!!

Re: Pics from the HPA ice fishing gathering!!!!

Thanks Loggy...my wife has been Type 1 for 28 years, now both ladies in my life are. If there was ever a fotumate day of my wife having it, it was Sunday when she noticed Jessi showing the signs of high blood sugar, had the equipment on her to check it and acted on it, (they were shopping and having a "girl's day" while we were away).

If not for her having that know-how and sugar checker, it could have been alot worse. Many kids don't get that benefit when they go Diabetic.

All are doing well now. A bump in the roadof life according to Jessica.

RB - that is awesome!!! Being able to do something you enjoy in the outdoors and have your kids along - can't get any better than that! My daughter will be 4 in May and I can't wait for those days.

Sorry to hear about your daughter. I'm glad you and your boys came and had a good time. Wish we could have got on some more fish though.
