I am a newbie in the field of reloading... I thought I was buying the right bullets, but now I am not so sure. I bought a box of Speer Hot Cor 150gr RNSP part #2017. I was just looking around the internet today, and found this pdf that says part #'s 2007 & 2011 are for 30-30's.. Will my 2017's still work?
If guns kill people, then pencils mispell words, cars make drunks drive,& spoons make fat people fat!
Yes they'll work. Lots of things work in .30-30's as I've loaded a lot of different bullets from 110 grain HP's to 220 grain Interlocks in my .30-30's. I used to load 150 grain spitzers and use it as a two shot repeater and I also liked to load 180 grain RN bullets in the 30-30. The 150 spitzers gave me the best accuracy I ever coaxed out of a .30-30. I loaded the 180's for a moose hunt that I took my .30-30 on and even though they shot well enough I ended up using 170 FP's on that hunt. The 220's keyholed.
